Great drinks. The steaks have good flavor. Expect a medium well steak even if you ask for medium rare.
Jackson Grill was a great, classic Milwaukee supper club experience! I started at the bar. It was cozy, inviting, and the perfect way to ease into the evening. I ordered my usual, an Old Fashioned. The complimentary salad with peppercorn dressing was a great start, and the warm, crispy bread was exactly what you want at a supper club. For dinner, the steak was very good and cooked perfectly with a nice char on the outside and tons of flavor. The bone marrow butter on the side was thick, rich, and tasty, though I actually preferred a few bites of the steak plain to really enjoy the meat itself. The au jus was exactly how I like it, light and thin, adding flavor without overpowering anything. The garlic mashed potatoes were super creamy and honestly were the best I’ve had in Milwaukee. The mushrooms were also very well prepared and full of flavor. Dessert really sealed the night. The key lime cheesecake was phenomenal, with a great coating of key lime on top and fresh lime that made it pop. The flourless chocolate cake was pure chocolate heaven. It was thick, rich with dark chocolate, but not overwhelmingly sweet.
A true supper club (minus that reservations are required). Small, quaint, simple, but outstanding food. We had the shrimp and escargot to start. The crab bisque soup was excellent. NY Strip, Chilean Sea Bass & tournedos (steak) - all were cooked to perfection. Meat was tender and juicy. The tournedos were cooked well done, NY strip was medium. We had vanilla bean crème brûlée (THE BEST), keylime pie (also phenomenal), lava cake & flourless cake. Olivia was our server - she was great. Overall - highly recommend. We drove 2.5 hours to come here. And would do it again and again. Highly recommend! Make sure you make a reservation.
Recently, for the first time going to The Jackson Grill, we had a great time. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was out of this world. We had a rib-eye steak, escargot, and Scallops. All I can say is, it was all delicious! The service was awesome. The server was very helpful with the questions we had. We will be back.
