Slinger Speedway
Slinger Speedway is a paved quarter-mile oval at 280 Cedar Creek Road, billed as the world's fastest quarter-mile asphalt oval. It has run stock-car racing since the late 1940s, and Sunday night is race night through the season, roughly spring into fall. The card runs deep: Super Late Models are the headline division, alongside Late Models, Sportsman, Bees, Figure 8s and more. The marquee dates are the Slinger Nationals in July, one of short-track racing's best-known events, and the late-summer Slamfest. There's a grandstand, concessions, and a Kids Club, and several of the divisions are sponsored by local bars you can eat at before or after. Schedules and tickets change year to year, so check the official site for the current calendar.
