It’s not always easy, running a place like ours. We started out working for a distributor, and we saw that fish often took a backseat. Other places would always sell steak, not really focusing on the fish. So, we decided to change that, first with a little shop in the Milwaukee Public Market, and then here in Mequon. We've been working hard at it ever since, for 15 years now.
From Milwaukee to Mequon
Our Mequon location actually began as a second spot for us. Our original place in the Milwaukee Public Market was doing incredibly well. We noticed a lot of our customers were coming down from Ozaukee County, so we thought, "Why not bring this fresh seafood experience to a new community?" Mequon felt like the right fit, and it was a relatively smooth transition. We found a great location, and because we already had that customer base, we really took off from day one.
Our Promise: The Best in Town
We want everyone to think of us as the best restaurant in town. That means friendly service where our waiting staff knows your name. We also want to encourage people to try new things, so we're always running specials.
We always have friendly service. The waiting staff knows their name. We also wanna make sure that they try out new things, so we're always doing specials and everything.
Globally Sourced, Always Fresh
What really sets us apart is our commitment to sourcing. We bring in the best lobster, which is why our lobster rolls are so good. We also work with 15 different oyster farms, and our scallops are amazing—I'd say they're our best thing here. And then there's our halibut. We're talking fresh from the market. We deal with farmers across the globe to get the finest quality. A lot of our oysters are U.S. sourced, but we also get salmon from Norway and Sweden. For example, our lobster comes from Maine, and our king crab from Alaska.
Right now, we're doing an oyster sampler as a promotion, offering seven oysters for $10. We're doing it with the oyster farmers to get people to try them out.
