A practical way to choose, if you are not a member anywhere: for an actual round, book Mee-Kwon and be done. For a shorter or more casual session, the practice complexes below are the better fit than a full course. And if you have been invited to one of the private clubs for a round or an event, that is its own kind of day, worth showing up early for the facilities as much as the golf. The point is that Mequon does not force one answer. A serious weekend round, a quick nine after work, a family afternoon, and a winter practice session are all covered by different spots in town.

The two private clubs are worth knowing even if you are not a member, because they come up when someone is invited to play or to an event. Ozaukee in particular has real history behind it, going back to 1922, and a course that holds its reputation locally.

Driving ranges, mini golf, and Toptracer

For a bucket of balls or a family round, Missing Links has a range, mini golf, and Toptracer under one roof, and Pin High adds a par-3 range with indoor simulators. This is the casual, no-tee-time tier, and it is where families and off-season golfers end up.

Missing Links is the answer when the group wants different things. The Toptracer bays make the range fun for casual hitters, the mini golf handles the kids, and the sports bar catches everyone at the end. For a more practice-focused stop, Pin High Golf Center runs a driving range with well-kept tee boxes, a putting green, and indoor simulators, which makes it the option that keeps working through a Wisconsin winter.

The indoor simulators are worth calling out on their own, because Wisconsin golf has an off-season and these are how locals get through it. When the courses close for the year, the simulators at Pin High keep a golfer swinging, and they double as a way to play a real course virtually on a cold night. Between Missing Links for the warm-weather range days and Pin High for the winter and the serious practice, the non-course side of Mequon golf is genuinely well covered, which is not something every suburb can say.

For clubs and custom fitting, Club Champion has a Mequon fitting studio. This is the stop when the problem is the equipment, not the swing, or at least not only the swing.
