Oh my gosh this place is amazing 😀 My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and we were so happy we came here. Its beautiful inside, the ambiance is a throw back to days gone by. Mood lighting, soft music in the back ground by Louie Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, etc. The service was very good and the food exceptional. We're looking forward to going back, but will remember they give you a lot of food so there will be take home containers coming with us. They have a bit of a limited menu, but may offer items other restaurants don't, like swordfish. They also have a very nice bar and carry NA beer and wine. Definitely recommend to try at least once, they are a bit more expensive but the experience is well worth it. Would recommend making reservations because they were quite busy, however you dont need them.

First time here and it was wonderful! We got the Ahi tuna appetizer that was featured tonight and I got the teriyaki filet, also a featured tonight. My partner got the Black And Bleu Sirloin Salad! Our server Cass was so sweet and great! Will be back!

Monday night we visited Digger's Sting in La Crosse. We had reservations at 6:15 but arrived an hour early to enjoy a drink at the bar. Our table was ready when we got there but we still took some time to enjoy the atmosphere. It's got that classic supper club feel with a Hollywood/gangster theme. Gentle lighting, dark wood and the crooning of Frank Sinatra set the ambience. We started with salads, his Caesar and mine spinach. He said the Caesar was wonderful and mine was the best spinach salad I've had. The hot bacon dressing was almost like a bacon jam, so tasty. They serve a basket of garlic toast and while I normally prefer a soft roll, it was amazing! It literally melted in your mouth, I couldn't stop eating it. Next was prime rib cooked to perfection. The prime rib is accompanied by button mushrooms and they were out of this world. Delicious! We both ordered the vegetable medely as our side. Veggies were fresh, not frozen, and cooked tender crisp, just superb. I added scallops seared just right and so flavorful, served with drawn butter. The service was outstanding, the whole staff being very attentive to our needs. If you're ever in the area we highly recommend stopping at Digger's, you won't be disappointed!!

On a random Tuesday evening, the place was packed with only two small open tables. There is bar seating too, but not my preference. I ordered the 6oz Sirloin salad, which came with garlic bread as an appetizer. The thin cut garlic bread was tasty but a bit too oily for me. My order came out in a timely manner, though the steak was only warm instead of hot. It is for topping a salad though, so I don't blame them. It came with olives and banana peppers that I removed, along with a sliced thin over hard (lightly green yolk) boiled egg, feta cheese, cucumber slices, and red onion on top of a mixed greens salad. Overall, it was very tasty. I highly recommend asking about their alcohol ice cream.

We went there one week after the Valentine’s Day to celebrate the special occasion and the restaurant was full on a Thursday so it’s important to make reservations. It’s my first time there and I’d say the average google review stars I read from others is higher than what I had received. We ordered the recommended meals of the day from the chef. Cajun Mahi-mahi and the smashed potatoes were slightly plain but the fish itself is good. The sautéed mushroom is quite salty and the garlic bread is a little bit over toasted and salty. The peach blackberry mock tail is just like a mixed juice and I hope their tea selection can be expanded to just non brand black tea bag if this is a local high end restaurant which I expect more. The atmosphere is great and the waiter that day was great. French onion soup and steak were good~ Food was served fast so I am hoping to go back and try different things as I think their steak and other dishes should be good. The tiramisu was a little bit watery which I have had much better ones in other Italian restaurants near here. I really think they need to adjust their seasoning on several things in this restaurant and do quality control to keep their good reputation which seems a local favorite restaurant because of the history, location and the atmosphere.
