I deeply appreciate this trail and aspire to walk its entire length, savoring each segment one day at a time. The experience of walking through the rolling kettles and dense, vibrant forest is nothing short of serene, with the gentle rustle of leaves and the symphony of birdsong enhancing the tranquility. As I wander, I remind myself and others to embrace a key principle of outdoor ethics: leave the trail as you found it. This means taking your trash and waste with you and ensuring that the natural beauty of the surroundings remains intact for others to enjoy. Each step on the path is a chance to connect with nature, so let’s take a moment to appreciate and protect the stunning landscape that envelops us.
Show moreDid the Ice Age Trail, that is located on the south end of Sunburst ski hill, Kewaskum.
Attempted to follow it across hwy 45, but underpass was slightly flooded. Also feet got wet crossing swampy area heading east along wooden bridges.
Otherwise it was a great hike. Total of 377 miles. I took the white marked trail. Lots of up and down. Take water, good shoes/boots, and bug spray.
Show moreWell-maintained trail perfect for hikers and trail runners. Some hilly terrain--a trekking pole would be helpful. If hiking (or walking at a slow pace), I strongly recommend wearing long sleeves and face net for mosquitoes. Almost got ate up by a swarm of mosquitoes towards the end.
Show moreBeautiful trail, moderate terrain. Hilly. Lots of dogs. No bikes allowed.
