I love to get out into the woods with my pup and hike. This was my second time coming here for a winter hike and it was great. The trails are well marked, have some great hills and are moderately difficult. There are some great views down by the lake, and we have seen plenty of deer on both of our visits. While it is close to the highway, once you are into the woods it still feels like you are getting away from it all. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Hiking Trail Review Pike Lake Trail - 3.2 Miles Trailhead is very easy to find and there is a large amount of parking. There is a fee to park. The trail is well marked and maintained. There are SO MANY intersecting trails. This is a great hike with so many options. The only major downside is there are an insane amount of mosquitos out at the moment. Bring bug spray! Beautiful views and very pet friendly. The lake area even has a designated dog swimming spot.

This Pike lake Beach is part of the kettle moraine state Forest and provides a nice spot for family picnic. Beach has a clean waterfront with clear water. Lot of parking space is available. The 30 min drive from I94 can be taken on the scenic route. Provides lot of hiking opportunities within and nearby the park.

Magnificent park, with a beautiful lake, and great for families, and kids throughout the year. Whereas the lake is full of boats during summers, expect a whole lot of snowmobiles and snowshoeing during the winters. The trails range from easy to moderate, and also have a dedicated bike route. The place even has a small dog beach, and a dedicated play area for kids. The restrooms are clean, and tidy. Ensure you get a state park ticket in advance as the park ticket booth is still not functional. Update - The ticket booth is now open, and one can buy tickets at the location. It also serves as a small concessions shop, selling bottled water, and ice-creams.
