We love the loaded burgers, priced right and excellent/friendly service. Great bakery items too. Lots of different steaks, brats, lunch meats and deli salads available also. Definitely 5 stars all around!

I’ve lived in Hartford for almost 10 years and somehow had never made it to MJ's. I finally stopped in on a Sunday to grab some hot ham and rolls...and left with two bags full of goodies! The second you walk in, the aroma hits you. Everything looks incredibly fresh, the store is spotless, and everyone is so friendly. It was fun hearing them greet customers by name and chat with all the regulars. I picked up the pork pinwheels, and they were hands down the best I’ve ever had. The sides were fresh and delicious too. Honestly, it was so much better than grabbing something from the big box store down the road. Safe to say I found my new go-to spot. I'll definitely be back regularly. Highly recommend!

We have lived in Hartford for about three years and just recently discovered MJs. The store is amazing as a whole but the meat is always fresh and the desserts are SO good. They have options for take and heat meals as well which is appreciated for busy families like mine. I’m so glad we found MJs and we will continue to shop here. Also editing to add one of the most important pieces. The staff at MJs makes shopping here even more worth it. They are genuinely friendly and helpful, and genuinely seem to enjoy being there.

This was our first visit to MJ‘s market. Everyone we met was friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased coleslaw, seafood, salad, and fresh Polish sausage. The grind of the sausage meat was good and the seasoning was delicious. Both the seafood salad and coleslaw were very good. I would recommend this market to everyone. Everything was also reasonably priced. A bonus is they make sandwiches to eat in or to take to go along with soups and bakery great addition to the market/ Butcher shop

You can tell by the pictures how excellent this place is. Here’s something you may not know. I went there on Sunday, and as the other customers entered the door, they began to smile. This place actually makes people happy! Lastly, my Vegetarian Pasta Salad was really delicious.
