My dad and I were coming back from a tractor show with a fully loaded trailer and had an idler pulley bearing fail on our pickup hours away from home without tools. No parts store around including this one had the pulley in stock for our old pickup but Tim was kind enough to let two strangers borrow his personal tools and even found a bearing for our old pulley and installed it for us so we could get back home safely. I have never had this pleasant of an experience with parts stores and Tim is an outstanding, kind employee that deserves recognition for his willingness to get customers back on the road safely and has excellent problem solving skills. He would not take a personal tip from us so I wanted to make our experience known and as even as a mechanic it’s good to know there are kind, knowledgeable people out there that are willing to help out when we don’t have the necessary equipment to help ourselves out of a bind. Tim sets exceeds the expectation and is a great human being.
Show moreWe needed a new battery and rear wiper for our van. We went to Advance Auto Parts in Hartford, WI. They tested our battery and then gave us three choices for new batteries. They removed our old battery and put the new one in and then replaced the rear wiper. There was no extra charge for installation or getting rid of the old battery. We were very happy with the courtesy and efficiency. It was a very easy process. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. The price was over $100.00 less than we got quoted at a repair garage.

I have heard stories of people paying it forward but have never witnessed nor been on the receiving end of such kindhearted actions, left us without words. My husband was coming home from work so we could get to a family thing for my father-in-law that is extremely ill when his car seemed to be overheating. He coasted into the parking lot of Advanced Auto in Hartford Wisconsin and was greeted by 3 fantastic men that we will forever be grateful to. We thought the car would need to be towed so I headed up to pick him up. When I pulled into the parking lot the guys had the hood up and were hard at work. Bill and Randy who were clocked out but had stayed to help while Tim who wasn't even scheduled to work but had stopped up to grab a part for himself jumped right in as well to help. They diagnosed the problem in record time and Tim went in search of the part needed while Bill and Randy got the belt mostly in place while talking and laughing with us. Talk about going above and beyond, Tim ended up going all the way into Milwaukee to grab the part and get it back and then installed it. Once they had it put together, Bill test drove it to make sure it was good to go and then later even checked in again to make sure we had gotten to our destination. Without the help of these guys, we wouldn't have made it to our fathers-in-law's last night instead we would have been waiting for a tow truck and then been left without a car. So, thank you again Bill, Randy and Tim for being in the right place at the right time to show us there are still good people in this world willing to put their lives on hold to help someone in need.
