We joined Ms. Frances dance studio this year and is has been nothing short of amazing in every way. We moved to the area last year and came from a very competitive dance studio, where all that mattered was how good you were and being the star of the show. There were divisions and clicks amongst all the dancers and my 8 year old daughter was miserable on her team, due to the way she was treated by both coaches and fellow dancers. After dancing since she could walk, she chose to quit, and took a year off. After some convincing from neighborhood friends, she chose to try Ms. Frances dance studio. We have a 6 year old daughter and 10 year old daughter, that both dance at her studio. It is so different from her prior experiences. Ms Frances is always positive and uplifting. She coaches by encouraging with positive feedback instead of constant criticism. She is always smiling, and always there for her dancers with hugs and love, both on and off the dance floor. She has been such a positive influence in my daughter's life and teaches her more than just dance. Because of Ms. Frances, my daughter is learning confidence, kindness, commitment, how to be a team player, and most importantly, how to help others and to be a leader. We have seen such a change in her from the start of the year and we couldn't be more happy to be a part of this dance family. This weekend, I had the opportunity to volunteer back stage for their nutcracker performance, and I got to meet all of the dancers, from small to big, for the first time. This is a great way to see how a dance studio really funtions. The stress on performance day can be palpable and you can see first hand how a coach teaches her students to handle it. I observed that they really are a family. The way the older girls care for the little ones and help them, is truly inspiring. You can see the love and kindness they have for each other, and it isn't just a select few. They all work together to build each other up and help out in any moments of need. The respect they have for each other is truly incredible. The world needs more Ms. Frances', because the positive influence she is having on these girls is truly life changing, and I know my daughter will caring these life skills with her forever. We are so grateful to have met Ms. Frances to have her in our daughters lives!
