Where to Stay in Cape Town

Appleton Scout Campsite is a campground in Cape Town offering a maintained green lawn for camping, bunk rooms, and a parade ground. Our campsite includes toilets, showers, a braai area, a washing up area, a campfire circle, and a small hall for use. We provide an internal parking area for approximately eight cars and trailers, serving as a convenient starting point for hikes up Lion's Head. Appleton Scout Campsite was formerly an old WW2 radar station. Our team maintains the grounds and facilities, ensuring a suitable environment for youth learning and outdoor experiences with access to surrounding hiking trails.
