Concert organist, researcher, writer, and music educator
Dianne Halliday is a concert organist, music educator, and researcher based in Wellington, New Zealand. Originally from Springfield, Pennsylvania, she completed undergraduate and master's degrees in Organ Performance and Church Music at the Eastman School of Music, and later earned a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the New Zealand School of Music. Her career includes extended appointments as Director of Music at Sacred Heart Cathedral and St Peter's on Willis in Wellington, where she led choir programs and oversaw major organ restorations. In addition to teaching and recital performance, she has worked on organ maintenance and tuning in collaboration with the South Island Organ Company. Halliday serves as President of the Wellington Organists' Association and was appointed Organist Emerita at St Peter's in 2023, while also receiving an Associateship of the Royal School of Church Music.
